Public Services, Reader's Advisory, and Outreach
I pride myself on producing high quality work, whether individually or as part of a team. The work I have done has been primarily focused on public services, reader's advisory, content creation, and collection development.

Reader's Advisory
I love problem solving and solution finding. In all of my work, I seek out opportunities to address challenges and promote positive suggestions for resolving issues. Reader's advisory is just another form of problem solving. What makes me particularly valuable as an adult services librarian is my attention to the customer and their experience. I actively listen to their needs, address those needs, follow through, and follow up. This focus combined with my passion for reading makes me an invaluable reader's advisory resource.

Outreach
There are many barriers facing older adults including transportation, technological illiteracy, and visual, auditory, or physical impairments. As the population ages, it is vital that public services like the library providing superior outreach to older adults to ensure equality of access.
Partnership with the Seattle Public Library
As the librarian at the University House Library, I partnered with Heather McNamee of Seattle Public Library to produce a survey focused on older adults and how they use -- and want to use -- technology. With the results of the survey we hope to improve programming specifically for seniors as well as improve SPL's ability to deliver technology and tech help to older adults outside of the library.
